This Paper-Based Clay from Sax contains no silica and easily smooths with the addition of water. This ready-to-use modeling material is lightweight yet air-dries to a hard, durable finish that can be sanded, carved, or painted. It is also excellent when baked to create face masks, bowls, bottles, or other pottery projects. The fine-grained, off-white clay is odorless, easy to clean with soap and water, and will not shrink or crack. It air-dries in about 24 hours depending on the sculpture’s thickness. This clay is suitable for both beginners and experienced artists alike. Conforms to ASTM D-4236 standards. Non-toxic.
